Before starting I would love to give you all a sneak peak into something that has become so close to my heart in just 3 months. Amal Academy is a Stanford University and PepsiCo supported 3-month online program to develop professional skills needed for a successful career and life.

It is the brain child of Benjee Williams, and Kunal Chawla who wanted to do something to cater to the lack of professionalism in young graduates & help them make outstanding careers.

Amal Academy is not just an academy where we go and learn some theoretical courses. It’s a complete practical platform where we can groom our personality, build our social network, acknowledge the importance of showing the gratitude, meet up with our professional mentor and find our purpose of life. We can acquire the tips to maximize our career, professional dressing and interview techniques. Moreover, we can learn many lessons of the life-like “Amal, Khudi, Kam Kam Kam, Ak or Ak 11, Going for an extra-mile, Most valuable team player, positive thinking and productive time”.

I learned a lot from Amal, every online course and project work was a new step towards my success. And how beautifully our mentors relate activities and discussions of our sessions with online courses further cemented our understanding.

Public speaking, English Proficiency, Teamwork, Leadership, Superhero Resume accompanied by Super hero cover letter, Thank you mail, Elevator pitch, The Passenger Journey and Amal principles of success, Knowing yourself, Knowing the market, SMART goals were some of the top things that I learned from my Amal journey of three months.

While all these things are critical for my own professional grooming, the thing that I will cherish the most from my time here in Amal is the moments spend with my batch in our weekend sessions. Experiencing all those vibrant & energetic faces with their charming personalities, the fun & laughter, games and quizzes are enough to break one out of their gloomy thoughts.

But alas, as all good things must inevitably come to an end, so too has the 3 months roller coaster comes to a halt. The journey that started off a few months back has ended up pretty well, though making me sad. This whole scenario was vividly focused on self-realization and getting the best out of us. In fact, it was entirely different. It has made the best person out of me: an optimist, a problem solver, a team leader, a well organizer, a kind person, and on top of everything, a job achiever instead of a job seeker.

On the very first day, we were worried about what is going to happen, when we will be joining, and contrarily on our last day, we were again worried about what will happen when we leave, but leaving has some deep emotions, and due to this strange reality, the last session was one of the most emotional days of my life.

“I believe if you are brave enough to say a happy goodbye then life will reward you with a very happy new hello.”

I wondered how astonishing it is that we bloomed, flourished, and thrived in #Amal family, and now the journey is about to end. After this “about to end” phase, I made a promise to myself that in my ongoing life, I will try not to leave anything on tomorrow or later because the right moment is “just now” and it’s never going to come back for you. Time travel may be impossible, but if you live every moment, you will have no regret and no wish to travel back in time. To balance my life journey, I will try to use the learning experience of the whole session. I know making someone feel important and loved is not for them, but it also for us to keep our soul pure and kind. The best takeaway from this journey is that in times of setback, instead of breaking down, I will reflect my actions and bend towards the right direction.

Adieu Amal Academy

To part is the lot of all mankind. The world is a scene of constant leave-taking, and the hands that grasp in cordial greeting today, are doomed to unite for the last time, when the quivering lips pronounce the word — Farewell.
